MY STORY

Hey there! My name is Sam and I am the makeup artist behind Samantha Brooke Makeup Artistry. I am a certified artist working in Nashville, Tennessee with over 4 years experience in freelancing. I began as a business major at Belmont University in 2015 while working as a Beauty Advisor at Ulta Beauty for about a year. I registered for a theatre makeup class at Belmont where I began to realize I had a passion for more than doing only my own makeup. I then decided to enroll in the elite Fashion Program at the Academy of Makeup Arts to become a professional makeup artist and achieve my certification in 2017. While in this program, I took a workshop with body painting expert Pashur, learned how to precisely recreate over a century's worth of makeup trends, and had my portfolio shot by the well known celebrity photographer Sebastian Smith, all while completing 250 hours of artistry practice.  Since officially starting my business in 2017, I have worked on countless photo shoots (fashion and music related) and a few big time music videos, as well as having my work published in Nashville Native and featured in Rolling Stone.
